GAMI/Simonds expands its immigration services for the global performing arts community to include Canada. While a work permit is not necessary in most cases, Canada does require a tourist visa from citizens of many countries. GAMI/Simonds can assist or consult on the filing of the necessary documents for a tourist visa. GAMI/Simonds is also expanding its service to include the filing of Canadian Tax Waivers, and, in association with Touchlantic International, the filing of US Central Withholding Agreements (CWA) and the filing of US tax returns.
As regards visas for the USA - are you swamped with USCIS forms and regulations and simply don't have the time to deal with visa petitions? Do you lack a U.S. based petitioner? As a presenter, have you had to replace artists with others at the last minute? Has the whole USCIS procedure been one of frustration, lost funds or an unwanted change in your management or presenting goals?
GAMI/Simonds has been representing foreign artists since 1989, preparing and filing I-129 Petitions for Non-immigrant Worker on their behalf. Since 1996 GAMI/SIMONDS has offered this service to the arts community in general - any foreign artist, author, their representatives and/or United States concert presenters who do not have a U.S. based petitioner.
This service includes consultation applications to appropriate unions (AFM, IATSE, Actor's Equity, AGMA, AGVA etc), and the filing of O or P Petitions and related Support Petitions (O-2, P-1S) to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
Whether for the USA or Canada, this service can be all-inclusive (preparation and processing), or, pending the beneficiary's knowledge of the process, GAMI/Simonds can provide a "walk through" of the process and review applications prepared by the artist, his/her management or a presenter. Fees vary pending the extent to which GAMI/Simonds acts as petitioner and/or consultant.
