Immigration & Tax ServiceU.S. Immigration Service for Foreign Artists:
GAMI/Simonds has been representing foreign artists since 1989, preparing and filing I-129 Petitions for non-immigrant workers on their behalf. Since 1996 GAMI/Simonds has offered this service to the arts community in general: foreign artists, authors, their managements and agents and United States concert presenters. This service includes consultation applications to the appropriate union(s) (AFM, IATSE, Actor's Equity, AGMA, AGVA etc), and the filing of O or P Petitions and related Support Petitions (O-2, P-1S) to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
GAMI/Simonds is well versed in the nuances of deciding what classification is appropriate and the documentation to support that classification, changes in immigration laws and procedures and the common mistakes and misconceptions that can result in delayed approvals or denied applications.
U.S. Tax Service for Foreign Artists:
GAMI/Simonds is available for consultation on tax issues facing foreign artists and businesses performing in the U.S., including withholding and the exemptions thereof. GAMI/Simonds is also available to prepare, file and administer Central Withholding Agreements with the IRS and provide referrals for the filing of yearly tax returns.
